Howdy from the Panhandle. I was mowing today, it was hot out there so the first thing I did when I got in was pour myself a tall glass of ice water. Boy that ice cold water sure did hit the spot. And that glass of water got me to thinking about - water.
Water, what can you say about water? Well, there is a lot to say about it. You need water in the form of rain or snow for your crops and pastures. You need it for your cattle and your horses. So water is important to Farming and ranching.
Oh and don't forget you need water to live. Typically a human can go three weeks without food. But water is a different story, About 60% of the human body is made up of water, because of this is seems the best we can do without water is three or four days.
Christ Jesus and His disciples were passing through and stopped at Jacob's Well to rest. While there Christ Jesus sent the disciples into town to get some lunch and He waited at the well for a divine appointment. It wasn't long before a woman came to the well to get some water. When she got there she was surprised to see a man sitting there, and more surprised when he asked for a drink of water. But she was in for a bigger surprise. Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, "Give Me a drink,' you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water."...but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life." John 4:10, 14.
Have you drank deep from the living water today?
