Good evening, and welcome to the Panhandle and to my blog site. The picture you see up top is a shot from the movie "Small Group." Okay I like movies and I really like this one. The basic gist is this a down on his luck documentary film maker moves with his family from California to Georgia. He has moved there to take a job making a documentary about Christians and a declining church or so he thinks. On his journey to make the film he also finds himself on a spiritual journey.
What are Christians really like? This film or at least the documentary in the film explores this question. I like the way this film looks at this question and that it shows the humanity of Christians as well as the grace of Christ Jesus. I don't want to get into this much more or I will wreck the movie for you.
Also a powerful part of this movie is a mission trip by the church that "Roman" is undercover at to a poor part of Guatemala and the pairing up with Engadi Ministries. Engadi Ministries is a real ministry founded by Nathan Hardeman that serve vulnerable families in Zone 18 of Guatemala City.
I know my movie reviews don't get very many looks, but if you do happen to check this out you can watch the movie on Amazon or you can buy it. I found the best price was on Amazon. So check it out and enjoy.
Your fellow pilgrim and His servant,
Biblesurfer
