Good morning and welcome to the
Panhandle, so glad your here. I pray this finds you well. As of yet
no cases of the COVID-19 in our county, but it is edging ever closer.
Our state has closed all school building for the rest of the school
year so our kids will finish out school on-line and with weekly
packets. For some of you this may not be a new thing but for our
tight knit community this is something totally new. We are praying
for our teachers and our Administrator as they try to make this work.
A while back my son got his glasses
broken at school the other day. I can relate, when I was his age it
seemed I broke my glasses every other week.
My wife did her best to try and fix his
glasses, they would hold a little bit and then the ear piece came off
again. Try as she may she could only "almost" fix the
glasses. She could not make them like new. There are some people who
have grown up in Christian homes, Christian communities etc... who
are almost saved - Then Agrippa said to Paul, "You almost
persuade me to become a Christian." (Acts 26:28)
Here's the thing though, to be almost
saved is to be totally lost. You see it wasn't until I took my son's
glasses to the eye glasses shop that they were fixed like new. They
were not almost fixed any more, they were like new.
God does the same thing with you if you
will let Him. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new
creation; the old has gone, the new has come! (2 Cor 5:17) If you
will ask Christ Jesus into your life as your Lord and Saviour you
will be made new.
If you are tired of almost fixing your
life why not let the Master Craftsman take over. He will make you
like new.
Next week we will start a study through the Book of Jude.
See ya then,
Bro. OH
