Good afternoon from the Panhandle. I
don't know about where your at, but the big story here is the
Corona-virus. We were going to go down state for a little R&R
(rest and relaxation), but we didn't go. My mom is 81 and has some
respiratory issues and I've had a continuing cough so that was one
reason we didn't go. Another was they closed the O.U. Campus until
sometime in April so the museum that we wanted to go to closed and
other places we wanted to visit were talking about closing because of
the corona-virus so another reason not to go.
Boy this corona-virus scare is
something else. I went to our local medical clinic to drop off some
paper work and they wouldn't even let me in. They made me set the
paper work down and back away from the door. One of our older ladies
kids talked her into not coming to church last night for Bible Study.
Like I said crazy. I pray you are safe where ever you are.
A few years back Gayla took care of a
little boy until his mom could come and get him after work. When
Gayla would go to pick-up Eli she would put Rosebud in the house.
Rosebud would then paces around the kitchen, go to the door, wimpers,
paces and wimpers and back to the door. Finally she would give up and
lay down by the door, until she heard Gayla pull up. As soon as she
heard the car she was up on her feet, nose to the door and tail
wagging. She was excited that Gayla has come back.
You know Christ Jesus is coming back
to Earth. Acts 1:9-11~ 9 And
after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were
looking on, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. 10 And as
they were gazing intently into the sky while He was going, behold,
two men in white clothing stood beside them. 11 They also said, "Men
of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who
has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same
way as you have watched Him go into heaven."
I know a lot of people have stopped
believing, or stopped looking forward to that day. But do not be
lulled into complacency just because He has not come back yet. 2
Peter 3:9 ~9 The Lord is not
slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward
you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.
16
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the
voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in
Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain will be
caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the
air, and so we shall always be with the Lord, 1
Thessalonians 4:16-17. Wow! If that doesn't get you excited then your
wood must be wet.
I have a friend who says, "If I
don't see you here again, I'll see you in the air or over there."
What a great sentiment.
So if I don't ever meet you here, I pray I
meet you in the air or over there.
